REQUIREMENTS

Education:High School or GED Equivalent

Experience:

  • 1 - 3 years in customer service environment
  • 6 month cash handling experience
  • Prior banking or retail sales experience a plus

Language Ability:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Bilingual a plus

Mathematical Skills:Ten Key by touch

Computer Skills: Microsoft Windows and Office software applications

Other Skills:

  • Customer Service skills - phone and direct
  • Cross selling
  • Banking Regulations Knowledge a plus

Satisfactory credit history and background check

General Description:

  • Serve customers as their single direct contact for any product or service offered
  • Develop and expand relationships
  • Identify and qualify needs of customers
  • Participate in calling programs
  • Positive community visibility
  • Initiate and maintain community service involvement
  • Provide a superior customer experience
  • Adhere to customer service standards
  • Cross-sell bank products
  • Achieve production/business development/sales goals
  • Participate in all training and meetings as required for position

Responsibilities: Serve in capacity of teller, new accounts, retail lending, customer service and other duties as assigned.

Teller:

  • Process customer transactions
  • Balance cash drawer
  • Sell savings bond, money orders, traveler's checks, cashiers checks and foreign drafts
  • Accept loan payments, safe deposit payments and domestic collections
  • Prepare change orders, process night deposit bags and handle other commercial transactions
  • Assure and maintain knowledge of job, products, policies and procedures
  • Maintain compliance, regulatory requirements and standards and internal controls
  • Lifting coin up to 50 lbs.

New Accounts:

  • Manage portfolio of profitable relationships
  • Process and deliver accurate and timely account information as required to achieve exceptional customer service standards
  • Customer profiling for future sales opportunities
  • Maintain Compliance, regulatory requirements and standards and internal controls
  • Apply appropriate judgment in exercising established bank policy/limits regarding refund authority, granting credit on new account deposits, and dispute resolution

Retail Lending:

  • Manage retail lending applications
  • Obtain proper approval from lending officer
  • Close retail loans

Customer Service:

  • Initial customer contact, phone and direct
  • Greet all customers and maintain customer service standards
  • Manage all inquiries and direct lobby traffic
